I came to glass late in life in 2015. As an oil painter it wasn't without its challenges. The concept of basic fusing didn't appeal to me and working with coloured sheet glass in its basic form didn't excite me either. I needed a medium that suited my existing style of working and one that would give me the freedom to create my own pallet of colours, depth and texture. I quickly found that working with frit suited my fast style of working and in powder form gave me the perfect stable foundation to all my work.
In the Spring of 2018 I started working with ceramics, in sculpture form and throwing on the wheel. Despite its challenges I have found that it compliments my glass perfectly.
